Love Your Neighbour

This week we have heard and seen some shocking footage of a white police Officer took the life of a black male (George Floyd) in Minneapolis.

This brought outrage and hurt to many people all around the world and we are shown yet again how racism is still a big problem in this world.

I keep praying that justice will be served for George and his family with all of those who was involved in the what happened that day.

I myself am with a African male and we are in a happy loving relationship and we both have had little racist comments about us being together. we both just ignore their views and carry on with our lives.

But in our society should we ignore racist comments, no matter how big or small they are? and what is the best way to handle it without being racist ourselves?

I have seen lots of posts which are angry and hurt by the event with happened to George Floyd and i myself felt angry that this happened, as lots of acts happen just like this which we don’t always hear about or see because no person in the public was recording it.

I’ve seen new stories of black men and women lives where they have be judged or wrongly accused just because of the colour of their skin.

We should not be silent and let this carry on happening, we should educate others and our young ones, to love one another, no matter what colour their skin is or where they are from.

We must remember not every police officer is the same and that lots do serve and protect every human being. we should also remember that not every white person is racist. (seen lots of comments about every white person are racist.)

I also experienced racism within the Christian community and this is totally heartbreaking that a christian can preach God word one moment and be racist the next moment.

I believe we lost what it means in this world to love one another, can be blind to what is happening and we can just be just as much to blame if we do not stand up to racist comments and acts.

Black lives matter and I thank God for all my fellow black and white friends from all around the world. I Stand with you.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35
